Privacy Policy
For the Gyan Ghar app on Android & iOS •
Last updated: May 28, 2025
At Gyan Ghar, we take your privacy
seriously and want to be transparent about how the app works. This policy explains
what information we collect, why we collect it, and how you can control it.
What information does the app collect?
-
Your mobile number — used to create your account and log you in via OTP. We never share it with advertisers.
-
Your name and email — optional. You can add these from your profile settings at any time.
-
Your learning activity — such as which courses, chapters, and flashcards you have viewed, and your quiz scores. This helps us show your progress and suggest what to study next.
-
Crash information — if the app crashes, we automatically receive a report with basic technical details (like your device type and what caused the crash). This helps us fix bugs quickly. Your personal information is not included in these reports.
-
Basic usage statistics — anonymised data about which screens are used most. This helps us improve the app experience. It is not linked to your identity.
Why do we collect this?
- To let you log in securely without a password.
- To save your learning progress so you can continue where you left off.
- To personalise course and content recommendations for you.
- To keep the app stable and fix problems quickly.
- To improve the app over time based on how students actually use it.
Do we share your data with anyone?
We do not sell your data or share it with advertisers.
We use Google Firebase — a platform by Google — to help run parts of the app.
Specifically, Firebase helps us detect crashes and understand how the app is being used (in
anonymised form). Google's privacy practices are described at
policies.google.com/privacy.
Other than Google Firebase, your personal data is not shared with any third party.
How long do we keep your data?
We keep your account data for as long as your account is active. If you delete your account,
we will remove your personal information within 30 days.

support@gyanghar.in with the subject
