Terms of Service
Last updated: 12 August 2026
These terms apply when you use gyanghar.in or the GyanGhar Android app. By using the service you agree to them. If you do not agree, please do not use the service.
1. What GyanGhar is
GyanGhar is a study platform offering chapter-wise notes, section quizzes, mock tests, podcasts and performance analytics for Class 10 to Class 12, JEE Main and NEET. It is a self-study aid. It is not a school, a coaching institute, or a substitute for your prescribed textbooks and teachers.
2. No affiliation with examination bodies
GyanGhar is an independent platform. We are not affiliated with, endorsed by, or connected to the National Testing Agency (NTA), CBSE, NCERT, or any state board or examination authority. Names such as "JEE Main", "NEET", "CBSE" and "NCERT" are used only to describe which syllabus or exam our material is aligned to. Our mock tests are practice papers modelled on published exam patterns; they are not official papers and results on them do not predict or guarantee any official result.
3. Cost and access
GyanGhar is free to use. Chapter notes, section quizzes and sample mock tests can be used without an account. Some features — full podcast episodes, saved progress, analytics and unfinished mock papers — require a free account. There is no paid plan at present, and we do not ask for payment or card details. If we ever introduce a paid feature, it will be clearly marked and optional, and these terms will be updated first.
4. Your account
Accounts are created with a mobile number and a one-time password. You are responsible for keeping access to that number secure, and for activity that happens under your account. Tell us at support@gyanghar.in if you believe someone else is using it. You may ask us to delete your account and its data at any time using the same address.
5. Students under 18
Much of our material is written for school students, and we expect many of our users to be under 18. If you are under 18, please use GyanGhar with the knowledge and consent of a parent or guardian. A parent or guardian may contact us at any time to ask what data we hold about their child or to have it deleted. Our Privacy Policy explains what we collect.
6. Accuracy of content, and how to report a mistake
Chapters are drafted with AI assistance from NCERT-aligned source material, then structured section by section and run through automated content checks before publishing. We work to keep material correct and current, but we are a small team and we do not claim a perfect record. Content is provided for study purposes without any warranty that it is complete, error-free, or aligned to the very latest syllabus or exam-pattern change.
Please tell us when something is wrong. Use Report an Issue, or email support@gyanghar.in with the chapter and question details, and we will review and correct it. Always check anything important against your prescribed textbook and the official notification from the relevant examination authority.
7. Acceptable use
When using GyanGhar, please do not:
- Scrape, bulk-download, resell or republish our notes, questions or audio.
- Attempt to break, overload, or gain unauthorised access to the platform or other users' accounts.
- Upload or transmit unlawful, abusive or infringing material through any part of the service.
- Use automated tools to attempt mock tests or manipulate scores, rankings or analytics.
We may suspend or remove an account that does these things, usually after warning the user where it is practical to do so.
8. Intellectual property
The notes, questions, audio, design and code of GyanGhar belong to us, except where they are based on publicly available curriculum material published by NCERT and the examination authorities, which remains theirs. You may use our material for your own study and share links to it freely. You may not present it as your own or use it commercially without our written permission.
9. Availability
We aim to keep the service running, but it is provided "as is" and "as available". Features may change, and the service may be unavailable during maintenance or for reasons outside our control. We may add, alter or withdraw features at any time.
10. Limitation of liability
To the extent permitted by law, GyanGhar is not liable for indirect or consequential loss arising from your use of the service, including examination outcomes, lost study time, or decisions taken on the basis of our material or analytics. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited under applicable law.
11. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms as the platform changes. The "last updated" date above will change when we do, and material changes will be highlighted on the site. Continuing to use GyanGhar after an update means you accept the revised terms.
12. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of India, and the courts of India have jurisdiction over any dispute arising from them.
