Optics

The sixth Class 12 unit of the JEE Main 2027 Physics syllabus and the single highest-weightage chapter (typically 12-14% of the paper). It covers ray optics (reflection and spherical mirrors, refraction and Snell's law, total internal reflection, thin lenses and the lens maker's formula, power and combinations of lenses, the prism, and the microscope and telescope) and wave optics (Huygens' principle, interference and Young's double-slit experiment, diffraction, and polarization).
