  • Newton's second law: Fnet=ma\vec F_{net}=m\vec a; impulse J=FΔt=Δp\vec J=\vec F\,\Delta t=\Delta\vec p. Third law: forces come in equal, opposite pairs on different bodies.
  • On an incline (angle θ\theta): component along =mgsinθ=mg\sin\theta, normal =mgcosθ=mg\cos\theta; frictionless acceleration =gsinθ=g\sin\theta.

Worked mini-example. A 5 kg block on a floor (μ=0.3\mu=0.3, g=10g=10) needs a force f=μmg=0.3×5×10=15f=\mu mg=0.3\times5\times10=15 N to just start sliding.
