Section 12 - NEET-Pattern Practice Questions (Biological Classification)
Biological Classification is a top-five NEET chapter by question count and the first chapter of Class 11 where the marks are genuinely dense. NEET does not ask you to reason about it - it asks whether you know the exact character, the exact example, and the exact number.

6. Fungal endogenous versus exogenous. Conidia exogenous on conidiophores. Ascospores endogenous in asci. Basidiospores exogenous on the basidium - four of them.
7. n + n is not 2n. The dikaryophase occurs in ascomycetes and basidiomycetes only.
8. The acellular trio. Virus = nucleic acid (RNA or DNA, never both) + capsid. Viroid = free RNA, no coat. Prion = abnormally folded protein, no nucleic acid.
