JEE Main Pattern Practice — Limits and Derivatives

A 27-question practice quiz on the full chapter: limits by substitution, cancellation, scaling and rationalization, trigonometric and exponential limits, existence and differentiability questions, first-principles and rules-based derivatives, and tangent-slope applications.

These questions are modelled on the JEE Main pattern and difficulty; they are practice questions in the exam style, not reproductions of specific past papers.

How to attempt this like the real exam:

  1. Set a timer for 60 minutes and attempt all 27 questions in one sitting.
  2. Score yourself by the JEE Main scheme: +4 for each correct answer, -1 for each wrong answer, 0 for skipped questions. Maximum score: 108.
  3. First pass: solve everything that yields within a minute. Second pass: the ones needing real computation. Guess only when you can eliminate two options.
  4. Review every explanation afterwards — including for questions you got right.
Your Score Where You Stand
90 – 108 Excellent — JEE-ready on this chapter
65 – 89 Strong — patch the specific topics you dropped
40 – 64 Decent base — rework the JEE Corner and Solved Examples
Below 40 Revisit Sections 1-4 before attempting again

This chapter opens the calculus that dominates Class 12 — continuity and differentiability, applications of derivatives, and integrals all begin from these limits.
